Courtesy of Ms. Danson:

books no one else has read: "The Body has its Reasons" (Original sub-title, "Anti-exercises and Self-awareness"). Yoga? Body-building? Tai-chi? Aging? Physical Therapy/ist? I keep copies at home to give to anyone who has an interest in how this all works.

tattoos: None. Not likely, but primarily because I haven't found anything...

light: Want. Need. I live for summer when I can spend more time outside the cave.

where would you go and why: The cemetery from "The Phantom of the Opera". To photograph it. Imagery is everything at times.

silence: Please. Noise <=> music. Wind yes, ocean no. Justin Beiber no, Usher and Joe Walsh yes (most recent downloads for working out). Jabber no, intelligent conversation yes. Radio yes, TV no. Inner yes, outer no (unless channeled inside see item 1).

That book looks very interesting.

My tattoo artist said that 70% of his business is from people who want to get a tattoo to look good or to show off their body. This is mostly walk-in business and hence heavily influenced by the weather and changes in the weather. The other 30% make appointments and the weather doesn't matter for them.

Damned interesting. I live at a personal confluence of Eastern, Western, and ancient medicine. Meridian lines in acupuncture/pressure have the same effect on certain nerves as the agents I gave intravenously in the field. My chiropractor is as important in my health care as my physician. Vitamins and light and modern medicines... It gets more interesting each year.

Body art is something I so enjoy. Thing is, 'what' and 'where'. ...oh and I'll need a new wife probably :) .

I picked up a copy. Haven't read it yet. My to-read-list is trying to kill me.

*grins*

The Body has its Reasons is oddly resonant with some of the more predatory techniques for training situational awareness - without, obviously, being predatory itself. Been a while since I've read it, but it's a terribly useful tool. Carol Bernstein also wrote The Migraine Brain, which has some interesting approaches to pain management and migraines in specific.

Thanks!
