thetimesink...or at least that's my working theory: the muse appears to have bounced off somewhere for a bit.
Could be that I've sent a metric tonne of time editing Psych 3xx level stuff with The Student (and picking up a bunch of info, and that sparking off other avenues of investigation to satisfy my, "Oh, look! A squirrel!" tendencies, and that part leading to digging up some stuff on 'executive functions' and spending time down that rabbit hole). ...or that she's just the flighty type. Certainly, she doesn't respond well to the "Attend me" request.
Maybe I'll end up with a cool t-shirt like she brought back the last time:
